Wags and Whiskers Rescue is a life saving shelter as we do not euthanize for time or space constraints. We are considered a limited intake facility, accepting animals based on our capacity. An open admission shelter, such as an animal control facility, is required to accept all lost, stray, and abandoned animals from the public. As the public intake shelter needs to make room for incoming animals, they have no choice but to euthanize animals already in their care after a minimum required hold time due to space constraints.
